Consorte 2000

History- This was the first year of the group. Originally, the madrigals were to be directed by Jon Krivitzky alone but time constraints, due to planning his wedding, caused him to ask me, Stephanie Lewin, to co-direct with him. He directed Saturdays and I took Sundays, but neither of us were members of the group, although I did sit in for Christy when she went to Ireland for 2 weeks.. We also hadn't planned the group to be just women, but the lack of male singers at auditions made it a necessity. The name Consorte Bella Donna was "borrowed" from a previous idea I had for an all-female group of traveling trouveres based on an actual italian court group called the Concerti di Donne.
